Financial Controller

Work Location: Eco Palladium, JB

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to lead the Group’s finance function in a listed company environment. This role will oversee financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls, while supporting senior management and the Board in strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with Bursa Malaysia requirements and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
• Manage full set of accounts and group consolidation, including subsidiaries and associates
• Ensure timely submission of statutory and regulatory reports
• Strengthen internal controls, governance, and risk management framework
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and banking facilities
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, Board, and Audit Committee
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification such as Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), ACCA, CPA or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Experience in a listed company or public-listed group is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of MFRS, group consolidation, and regulatory requirements
• Prior external audit experience is an added advantage
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight reporting deadlines

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM16,000.00 per month
