Job Title: Java Developer (Liferay Portal)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with hands-on experience in Liferay Portal to develop, customize, and maintain enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system development, application integration, and Liferay module customization to meet evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE
• Customize and manage Liferay Portal components (portlets, themes, hooks, etc.)
• Design, develop, and integrate REST and SOAP APIs
• Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to gather and refine system requirements
• Perform debugging, testing, and application performance tuning
• Support deployment activities and resolve production/technical issues
• Prepare and maintain clear and structured technical documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in Java development
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Liferay Portal (DXP or Community Edition)
• Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, and Spring Framework
• Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL)
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Preferred Skills

• Experience with OSGi framework and Liferay Service Builder
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Basic knowledge of Docker or containerization

Pay: RM3,998.38 - RM12,504.25 per month
