About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Automation Test Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will design, implement, and execute automated testing solutions for web and mobile applications while collaborating with global teams.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality software delivery by improving test coverage, maintaining automation frameworks, and supporting production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and smoke testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and create effective test scenarios
• Ensure automation scripts are scalable, reusable, and maintainable
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing
• Execute automated tests, analyze results, and document defects clearly
• Track, report, and support resolution of issues with cross-functional teams
• Perform ongoing maintenance and enhancement of automation scripts
• Contribute to improving testing processes, frameworks, and overall test coverage
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation (test cases, scripts, reports)
• Support manual testing for complex scenarios where automation is not feasible

Additional Responsibilities

• Work in shift rotations to support global teams (UK & US time zones)
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for defects and production issues
• Handle production incidents, including troubleshooting and resolution support
• Debug application issues in collaboration with development teams
• Actively participate in cross-functional meetings (QA, Development, Product, PMO)

Requirements

• Proven experience in test automation for web and/or mobile applications
• Hands-on experience with tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies
• Experience with CI/CD tools and integration
• Ability to analyze test results and troubleshoot defects effectively
• Familiarity with manual testing practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global team environment
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month
