About the Role
SIC Advisory is a professional accounting and business advisory firm providing In-House Accountant Placement as part of our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solutions.
We are seeking a disciplined and reliable In-House Accountant to be deployed at client premises to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and support management reporting and statutory compliance, under the supervision and framework of SIC Advisory.
Role Overview
The In-House Accountant will act as the on-site accounting representative of SIC Advisory, responsible for maintaining proper accounting records for the client while adhering strictly to SIC Advisory’s internal standards, SOPs, and reporting structure.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Accounting Operations
- Handle full set accounting for assigned client
- Record daily transactions including invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries
- Maintain General Ledger, Trial Balance, and Cash Book
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
- Prepare invoicing, payment schedules, and follow up on collections
Banking & Cash Management
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation
- Assist with payment processing and banking coordination
Reporting & Closing
- Prepare Management Accounts (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Submit periodic reports to SIC Advisory’s internal review team
Statutory & Compliance
- Prepare and support statutory matters including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, SST
- Assist in audit preparation, tax schedules, and regulatory submissions
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and client SOPs
Liaison & Professional Conduct
- Liaise with client’s management on accounting matters professionally
- Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and bankers when required
- Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics at all times
Reporting Line
- Functional Reporting: SIC Advisory (Accounts Manager / Partner)
- Operational Reporting: Client’s Management (Day-to-Day Coordination)
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 1–3 years of accounting experience
- Experience in BPO / outsourced accounting / on-site placement is an advantage
- Proficient in accounting software (SQL, UBS)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong discipline, integrity, and attention to detail
- Able to work independently at client site with structured supervision
