Charter of the Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role carries full leadership responsibility for driving the growth, profitability and strategic direction of the Business Solutions Managed Services portfolio in Malaysia. The mandate is to lead commercial performance and P&L outcomes, champion digital transformation-led solutions, and partner closely with sales and executive stakeholders to expand market opportunities and solution adoption. Beyond business growth, the role is tasked with elevating operational excellence, building scalable delivery models, shaping consultative engagement with enterprise clients, and developing a high-performing leadership team capable of supporting long-term transformation and sustainable expansion.
• Provide strategic leadership for the team, driving end-to-end growth of the Solutions and Managed Services business across Malaysia
• Own and deliver financial results for the Business Solution team including revenue, profitability, and sustainable business expansion
• Champion Digital Transformation by developing innovative, customer-centric solutions aligned with market demands
• Partner closely with Sales and cross-functional teams to accelerate solution adoption and achieve corporate objectives
• Ensure operational excellence through efficient service delivery models, cost optimisation, and scalable processes
• Build and nurture a high-performing, future-ready team with strong technical and consulting capabilities
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Business & Financial Leadership
• Drive achievement of revenue, margin, and growth targets for the Solutions & Services portfolio
• Develop and execute annual strategic business plans aligned with corporate direction
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance tracking with appropriate corrective actions
Customer & Market Engagement
• Lead strategic engagement with C-level stakeholders to position value-driven solutions
• Identify market opportunities and drive expansion of managed and professional services offerings
• Shape a consultative selling approach in close collaboration with the Sales Organisation
Operational Excellence
• Drive service delivery excellence with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, process optimisation, and governance standards
• Ensure timely reporting, performance tracking, and compliance with organisational frameworks
Leadership & People Development
• Build, lead, and sustain a high-performance culture anchored on collaboration and accountability
• Develop team capabilities in technical, solutioning, and consulting competencies
• Drive succession planning and proactive organisational design for scalability and agility
• Coach and support teams in overcoming operational and market challenges
Stakeholder & Corporate Governance
• Actively contribute to Company Executive Committee (CEC) discussions and strategic decision-making
• Align departmental direction with overall company vision and transformation agenda
• Establish, implement, and enforce organisational policies, standards, and best practices
Performance Measurements
• Achievement of half-yearly and full year business revenue plan.
• Drive on operation efficiency and cost optimization towards healthy business and GP.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• At least a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Solution sales, operations leadership, with a proven track record in driving business growth and service delivery excellence.
Industry preferred:- System Integrators
• Strong commercial acumen with a strategic mindset, including experience in P&L management and business performance optimisation
• Solid understanding of IT and digital solutions, including application
development, project management methodologies, and end-to-end solution design
• Well-versed in emerging technologies, industry trends, and Digital Transformation (DX) developments relevant to solutions and managed services business
• Demonstrated strong ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels, with strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
