About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated IT Security Analyst to join our team and play a key role in protecting our systems, networks, and data assets. This role will focus on monitoring security controls, identifying vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and supporting continuous improvement of the organization’s security posture. It is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide security guidance and operational best practices to internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure security controls and compliance requirements are implemented across the IT environment.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain security technologies such as Antivirus, Vulnerability Assessment tools, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Privileged Access Management (PAM), DNS security, certificates, firewalls, and proxy solutions.
- Manage and respond to security requests, alerts, and incidents through the IT service management (ITSM) platform.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for security incidents and recurring issues.
- Maintain system inventory and support change management activities related to security operations.
- Identify security gaps in current and proposed systems or architectures, and recommend improvements or remediation measures.
- Work closely with IT and business teams to support internal and external audits, ensuring security controls meet regulatory and legal requirements.
- Support additional security operations initiatives and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security operations, implementation, or security engineering.
- Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Good understanding of current cyber threats, security controls, operating systems, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with security tools and incident management processes.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse teams.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
