• Assist the Production Manager in ensuring smooth and efficient operation of all plant electrical systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive maintenance and electrical breakdown repairs.
• Manage electrical spare parts including identification, sourcing, inventory control, and replacement.
• Monitor and optimize plant energy consumption for efficient utilization and cost savings.
• Support equipment upgrading, modification, and improvement programs to enhance plant performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost control.
• Lead electrical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Ensure maximum plant reliability and operational efficiency at all times.
• Support compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system requirements.
• Establish and maintain an effective spare parts and inventory management system.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to achieve company goals through effective teamwork and communication.
• Ensure all employees and subordinates wear and properly use required PPE at all times.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy workplace environment.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and scheduled waste handling procedures.
• Enforce safety practices including PPE, LOTO, PTW, and Confined Space Entry requirements for employees and contractors.
• Conduct and monitor On-Job Training (OJT) for new hires and transferred employees.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management or immediate superior..

Required Qualifications / Experience

• Possess a valid AO or AI Chargeman Certificate issued by Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga)
• Minimum SPM / Technical Certificate or equivalent
• Experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting is an advantage
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently
• Knowledge in Electrical Supply Act. Electricity Regulation in essentials
