Position Summary
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for leading and overseeing the overall business operations, strategic growth, financial performance, and clinical service excellence of HCASB Malaysia. The role ensures operational efficiency across healthcare services, prosthetics & orthotics operations, rehabilitation programs, insurance partnerships, corporate healthcare accounts, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
The GM will drive business expansion, operational sustainability, regulatory compliance, service innovation, and organizational culture while maintaining strong relationships with hospitals, insurers, corporate clients, government agencies, and healthcare stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute business strategies aligned with company goals and healthcare industry trends.
- Lead organizational growth initiatives, expansion planning, and new service development.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships with hospitals, insurance providers, rehabilitation centers, and corporate healthcare clients.
- Drive long-term profitability, operational sustainability, and market positioning.
- Represent the company in high-level business meetings, healthcare forums, and strategic collaborations.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations across clinical, rehabilitation, prosthetic & orthotic, and administrative departments.
- Ensure operational efficiency, workflow optimization, and service quality improvement.
- Monitor KPIs, SLA performance, productivity metrics, and operational targets.
- Implement policies, SOPs, and quality assurance standards.
- Ensure effective coordination between clinical teams, finance, HR, customer service, and business development.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Manage company budgets, financial planning, forecasting, and cost control strategies.
- Monitor revenue performance, profitability, claims management, and operational expenditure.
- Lead contract negotiations with insurers, corporate clients, healthcare institutions, and vendors.
- Ensure proper financial governance, reporting accuracy, and compliance.
- Support business development initiatives to increase revenue streams and market penetration.
Clinical & Healthcare Governance
- Ensure healthcare services comply with Malaysian healthcare regulations, standards, and ethical practices.
- Work closely with clinical leadership teams to maintain high patient care standards and clinical outcomes.
- Support innovation in rehabilitation services, prosthetics & orthotics solutions, and patient management systems.
- Ensure patient satisfaction, safety, and service excellence across all touchpoints.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and multidisciplinary teams.
- Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Manage workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
- Address operational conflicts, employee engagement, and organizational alignment effectively.
- Promote professionalism, discipline, and strong leadership practices throughout the organization.
Business Development & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong relationships with insurers, hospitals, NGOs, welfare organizations, and government bodies.
- Develop strategic corporate partnerships and referral networks.
- Identify new market opportunities within healthcare, rehabilitation, and assistive technology sectors.
- Lead branding, corporate positioning, and market visibility initiatives.
Requirements & QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, Operations, Insurance or any related medical field.
- Master’s Degree / MBA is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 8–12 years of senior management experience.
- Experience within healthcare, rehabilitation,General and Life insurance, prosthetics & orthotics, medical services, and insurtech industries preferred.
- Proven track record in operational leadership, business growth, and financial management.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary healthcare teams and corporate stakeholders.

Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
