Job Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, and optimize CNC machining processes to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Prepare CNC programs for milling, turning, and machining operations using Mastercam.
- Perform machine setup, tooling selection, fixture setup, and process planning for production jobs.
- Analyze engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T requirements before production.
- Plan machining sequences, cycle times, and production workflow to meet delivery schedules.
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and rejection.
- Coordinate with production, QA, engineering, and customers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct first article inspection and ensure products meet dimensional and quality standards.
- Monitor tooling performance, machine utilization, and process capability for continuous improvement.
- Prepare process documentation, setup sheets, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Review customer drawings and specifications to prepare machining quotations and cost estimations.
- Calculate machining time, material consumption, tooling cost, and overall manufacturing cost for quotation purposes.
- Support new product development, prototype machining, and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, ISO procedures, and company quality standards.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining or precision engineering industry.
- Knowledge in Mastercam for CNC programming and toolpath generation.
- Skilled in CNC programming, machine setup, process planning, and tooling selection.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
- Knowledge of CNC milling, turning, machining processes, cutting tools, and materials.
- Experience in quotation preparation and machining cost estimation.
- Familiar with CAD/CAM software and CNC machine controls.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects/tasks efficiently.
Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,500.00 per month
