Job Description

The candidate will be assisting the chief engineer in the execution of projects. Candidates deemed experienced enough
will be given the opportunity to manage their own technical team and projects with autonomy.

If candidates perform well enough in the role and your certificates are recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore, TMD Mobility will arrange for a mentorship opportunity with our Professional Engineer partner to groom you to become a registered PE BOARD, SINGAPORE MECHANICAL / CRANE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER.

Salary: $2,500.00 to $4,000.00 /month

Location: Tuas Headquarters

Working Days: 5 Days / Week

Working Hours: 8 am to 5.30 pm (OT Salary Available)

Essential Responsibilities

• Execute projects in accordance with customers’ requirements (e.g. AETOS Police Vans / SAF Military Installations
  e.g. Weapon Platforms) to ensure that all contractual requirements are met prior to shipment.

• Will have to perform fabrication, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair work.

• To oversee and provide mechanical and electrical technical assistance to technicians.

• Responsible for the project’s cost control to ensure timely work completion within the allocated budget.

• Work with different technical disciplines internally or external vendors to meet technical requirements and project schedules.

• Assist the Chief Engineer in preparing equipment data sheets, drawings, ILS documentation, and layout as requested in the customer’s contract.

• Participate in customer meetings as and when required.

• Preparation of design report, calculation, drawings, specification, cost estimates and schedules for the project assigned (if deemed experienced enough).

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a Recognised Institution

• Able to clear SAF CAT Security Clearance

• Ability to read and understand designs and schematics.

• Preferably with Class 3 (Manual) Car License

• Knows Basic Equipment Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul.

• Able to design using computer-aided design drafting software (Siemens NX) will be advantageous.

• Employees will be reimbursed for mileage incurred when using a personal vehicle at work.
