Job Description

We are looking for an experienced senior data analyst / Data Engineer to support enterprise data engineering, analytics, and data warehousing initiatives within the Banking and Financial Services domain. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions across complex business environments.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL/data pipelines using IBM DataStage, Control-M, and Airflow.

Build and optimise big data solutions using Spark, Hive, SQL, Python, and PySpark.

Support real-time and batch data ingestion using Kafka / Amazon Kinesis.

Develop and maintain data marts and data warehouse solutions for analytics and reporting.

Support testing, deployment, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

Degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or related discipline.

At least 12 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Data Warehousing.

Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Regulatory Reporting, or Risk Data environments will be advantageous.

Proficiency in:

• Spark / Hive / SQL / Python / PySpark / UNIX
• IBM DataStage / Control-M / Airflow
• Teradata / Oracle / DB2 / Data Modelling / FSLDM

Experience with AWS cloud technologies, including AWS Glue, Athena, Redshift, Kinesis, and/or Azure Synapse Analytics.

Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as Tableau/Power BI is a plus.
