Guest Relations Assistant Manager (Wine Lounge & Cocktail Bar)

We’re looking for a personable and service-driven Guest Relations Assistant Manager to join the front-of-house team at Temper, our Wine Lounge & Cocktail Bar located on Duxton Hill. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building genuine guest connections, curating memorable experiences, and leading service with warmth, confidence, and attention to detail in a vibrant wine and cocktail-focused setting.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Be the face of Temper by creating warm, personalised, and memorable guest experiences from arrival to departure.
- Oversee reservations, seating flow, and guest communications to ensure seamless service and optimal table management.
- Build strong relationships with regular guests and proactively engage with new guests to foster loyalty and repeat visits.
- Lead the front-of-house guest experience during service, ensuring hospitality standards are consistently upheld across the floor.
- Work closely with the Sommelier, Bar, and Service teams to coordinate smooth operations and deliver elevated dining experiences.
- Handle guest feedback, special requests, and service recovery professionally and thoughtfully.
- Support and mentor the front-of-house team in guest engagement, service etiquette, and hospitality standards.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the menu, wines, cocktails, and promotions to confidently guide guest recommendations and experiences.
- Assist in planning and executing guest engagement initiatives, special events, collaborations, and VIP experiences.
- Monitor guest preferences and feedback to continuously improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on service improvements, guest retention strategies, and operational excellence.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture centered around hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
We’re Looking for Someone Who
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy dining and nightlife environment.
- Has strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach to service.
- Is confident managing reservations, guest relations, and floor coordination simultaneously.
- Has strong knowledge or appreciation of wines, cocktails, and modern dining culture.
- Has experience with reservation systems and guest database management (preferred).
- Pre-opening or high-volume venue experience is a plus.

Pay: $3,800.00 - $5,000.00 per month
