About the role

This full-time Executive - Aquaculture position at Una Crop Sdn Bhd based in Melaka offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing aquaculture business. As an Executive - Aquaculture, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's strategic objectives within the fishing and aquaculture industry.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the aquaculture division, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources
• Developing and implementing strategies to optimise production, maximise yields, and improve operational efficiency
• Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous growth
• Liaising with regulatory authorities and industry stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Identifying new market opportunities and business development prospects to expand the company's aquaculture operations
• Providing technical guidance and support to the aquaculture team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
• Preparing detailed reports and presentations to keep senior management informed on the progress and challenges of the aquaculture division

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the aquaculture industry, with a strong understanding of fish farming techniques and best practices
• Proven track record of successfully managing aquaculture operations, including hatchery management, pond management, and harvesting
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and identify innovative solutions
• Strong technical knowledge of water quality management, disease control, and environmental regulations
• Proficient in data analysis, report writing, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders
• A team player with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce
• A bachelor's degree in aquaculture, marine biology, or a related field is preferred
