PREFERRED SKILLS

Quantity Surveyor must with strong knowledge of Mathematics for calculating material quantities and construction costs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Project Management:

· Reviewing construction plans, calculate quantities and costs for materials, labour and timeframes.

· Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.

· Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of project requirements.

· Monitor and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, reviewing cost reports, and identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

· Consults with clients to understand their requirements and negotiate contracts and schedules.

· Conduct feasibility studies to vet proposed projects.

· Prepare tender packages and contracts, including bills for quantities.

· Manage risk, value engineering and cost control measures.

· Oversee and value subcontractors’ work for payments.

· Continually assess value for the client’s investment.

· Advise on claims, disputes and any contractual issues.

Health and Safety Compliance:

· Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.

· Conduct regular inspections to identify any potential issues or risks, and implement corrective measures to maintain quality and efficiency.

Administration:

· Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.

· Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and resources to ensure timely availability and adherence to project schedules.

Reporting and Analysis:

· Prepare regular reports on site progress and performance, inventory, and productivity metrics.

· Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulations to enhance knowledge and provide recommendations for process improvements and innovation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in any field of study, most preferably quantity surveying, engineering, management.

· Min 3 years in similar capacity.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
