Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated OT Resident Engineer to support, manage, and maintain our Operational Technology (OT) systems and SCADA infrastructure at Client/Project site based in Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial control systems, SCADA tools, network infrastructure in OT environments, and cybersecurity best practices in critical infrastructure systems.

Job responsibilities:

• Serve as the on-site OT technical, supporting the installation, operation, and troubleshooting of OT systems and SCADA tools.
• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and upgrades of OT assets such as PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, industrial switches, and gateways.
• Monitor and ensure the integrity and availability of SCADA networks and associated systems.
• Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
• Participate in the design and implementation of OT/SCADA projects, including hardware/software deployment and integration with legacy systems.
• Respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and develop preventive measures.
• Maintain detailed documentation including network diagrams, system configurations, and maintenance logs.
• Provide technical support and training to site personnel on OT systems and tools.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST, etc.) and company policies.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Operational Technology and SCADA environments.
• Hands-on experience with SCADA platforms (e.g., Siemens WinCC, Schneider EcoStruxure, GE iFIX, Wonderware, Ignition).
• Strong understanding of industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA, IEC 61850).
• Knowledge of PLC/DCS systems (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, etc.).
• Experience with OT network architectures, firewalls, and segmentation practices.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles applicable to industrial environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on-site at customer or project locations.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Certifications such as GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
• Experience in critical infrastructure sectors (e.g., energy, utilities, manufacturing).
• Exposure to remote monitoring solutions, data historians, or edge computing.
• Knowledge of Tenable, Nozomy, Claroty will be highly preferred.

Work Environment:

• On-site presence required at the client's site.
• May involve working in industrial environments and occasionally during non-business hours for maintenance or upgrades.

Pay: RM8,000.00 per month
