Core responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting blueprints: Understanding technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to plan and execute welding tasks.
- Preparing materials: Cleaning, grinding, and preparing metal surfaces for welding.
- Welding components: Using various manual or semi-automatic welding techniques to fuse metal parts together.
- Quality control: Inspecting completed welds for flaws and ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Equipment maintenance: Maintaining welding equipment, keeping it in good working order, and ensuring all tools are functioning properly.
- Safety compliance: Following all safety procedures and guidelines, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Record keeping: Maintaining accurate records of welding activities, materials used, and any quality issues.
- Collaboration: Working with other team members, such as engineers and designers, to ensure projects are completed successfully.
Required skills and qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick welding).
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication processes.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
