Mechanical Engineer

Responsible for designing, supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the proper execution of mechanical works for construction or maintenance projects in compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, budget, and project timelines. The scope of work includes mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other related mechanical services. The Mechanical Engineer is also responsible for technical reviews, engineering calculations, drawings, documentation, and coordination with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth project implementation. Ensures compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review mechanical system designs and technical specifications.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Ensure all mechanical works are carried out according to project specifications and schedule.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients on technical matters.
• Identify and resolve technical issues at site.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in tender preparation, cost estimation, and procurement related to mechanical works.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks on mechanical installations.
• Support project planning, execution, and handover activities.

Requirements (optional to include):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is an advantage / required (if applicable).
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction or M&E projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit (MEP), or related engineering software.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
