About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Middleware Administrator to support enterprise middleware environments across multiple platforms. This role involves end-to-end administration, production support, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and upgrade middleware platforms (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, IIS, Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle E-Business Suite)
  • Perform middleware administration including service requests, changes, and reconfigurations
  • Handle L2/L3 incident management with troubleshooting, log analysis, and root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Execute patching, upgrades, and deployments following change management processes (CAB approvals)
  • Apply security patches and hardening to ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor system performance, perform JVM tuning, and optimize thread/connection pools
  • Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) activities including drills and failover testing
  • Maintain middleware inventory and track version lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and documentation
  • Provide guidance and support to L1/L2 teams
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams
  • Participate in audits, compliance activities, and risk mitigation initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of Middleware Administration experience
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, IIS, Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle EBS
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Application server architecture
  • JVM tuning, thread pools, and datasource management
  • Deployment lifecycle and clustering
  • Experience in:
  • Incident Management (L2/L3 support)
  • Change, Release & Deployment processes
  • Security patching and system hardening
  • Solid knowledge of operating systems:
  • Linux (RHEL), Solaris, Windows Server, AIX
  • Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimization
  • Exposure to Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) setups
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release)

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,500.00 per month
