Position Summary:

The Process Engineer is responsible in providing production and customer support. He is responsible for investigating yield, scrap and customer issues and for coming out with recommendations for resolution. He is also responsible for the identification and definition of continuous improvement areas/projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Performs an in-depth root-cause analysis on issues and implements timely corrective actions on customer complaints.

· Defines relevant areas for continuous improvement and conducts troubleshooting on process especially in the areas of Set-Up, QA and Operations and executes and validates projects and actions that improves productivity, quality and safety.

· Provides day-to-day production, QA and customer support through a thorough monitoring of process performance, investigation of yield and scrap and quick resolution of engineering-related production issues.

· Defines, characterizes and validates process envelopes and capabilities and performs equipment standardization based on accurate data. Document on a regular basis the Best Known Method (BKM) of product and process improvements established ensuring that the following remains current: o Work Instruction Product / Process Control Plan o Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) o Out of Control Action Plan (OCAP) Parameter Matrix

· Implementation of Equipment utilization/OEE to achieve world class manufacturing standard.

· In-process yield improvements and continuous monitoring.

· Leads weekly meetings per process to review the key indicators / performances of the product / process against plan.

· Implements Yield and Scrap rate improvement.

· Documentation of Best Known Method (BKM) of the Product / Process revised regularly to ensure that BKM remains current.

· Participates in collegial planning for policies, procedures and systems, problem solving and performance monitoring through participation in standing and ad hoc committees, task forces and project teams.

· Performs such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane or related to and / or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities.

Skills and Knowledge:

· Project management skills/experience

· Must be ambitious, goal oriented, and possess excellent planning, communication and organization skills. Must have good work ethics.

· Computer literate

· Process engineering experience and mindset.

· Experience in thermoforming and related processes.

· Education: Bachelor's degree in any Engineering course or equivalent.

· Knowledge on IATF16949 Standards with hands on experience on IATF Core tools and PPAP.

· Require direction and supervision of other engineers, technicians and/or operators. Liaise with both internal and external customers as needed.

· Initiate review of the product through MRR when there is a deviation on the process standard.

· Ability to recommend disposition on the hold products after a thorough risk assessment.

· Review & stop production when there is a deviation on the process standard that may result to questionable product integrity.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
