Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Technical Support
- Review and evaluate mechanical design drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, and contractors to resolve technical and design issues.
- Prepare engineering calculations, material take-offs, and equipment specifications.
- Ensure all mechanical works comply with local authority standards, codes, and regulations.
2. Project Coordination
- Support project teams with mechanical engineering input during tendering, planning, and construction stages.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely submission of mechanical deliverables.
- Coordinate with procurement teams on material and equipment selection and approval.
- Provide technical clarification and assist in resolving site-related mechanical issues.
3. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare mechanical drawings, as-built documentation, and technical reports.
- Maintain records of design changes, technical queries, and approvals.
- Review and verify subcontractor submissions and ensure compliance with project requirements.
4. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all mechanical installations meet project quality standards and specifications.
- Support the QA/QC team in inspection and testing activities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all mechanical works.
5. Communication & Coordination
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities for technical submissions and approvals.
- Attend coordination and technical meetings when required.
- Provide technical advice and training to project and site teams when necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction or M&E industry.
- Candidate must possess a valid registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
- Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or other mechanical design software.
- Good understanding of local construction standards, codes, and regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Advantage (Optional):
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Experience in building services, infrastructure, or plant construction.
- Familiar with Green Building (GBI/LEED) or sustainability practices.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
