About Cetakshop

Cetakshop is a custom printing and merchandise company serving businesses across Malaysia and Singapore. We specialise in custom apparel (t-shirts, polo tees, corporate uniforms), business essentials (namecards, letterheads, flyers), and awards/trophies. Our revenue has more than doubled in 3 years and we're building out our core team to support the next stage of growth.

This isn't a "sit in the corner and photocopy" internship. You'll be managing real client accounts from week one.

Why This Role Exists

Cetakshop is growing fast and we need someone who can own the client relationship from first inquiry to final delivery. As our Sales & Marketing Intern, you'll work directly with the founder to close deals, manage client projects, and help grow our brand presence. In our last advertising campaign, we had more leads than we could follow up on. Your #1 job is to make sure every lead gets a fast, professional response and every client gets exactly what they ordered.

What You'll Do

Sales & Client Management (50% of your time)

  • Respond to client inquiries across all channels (WhatsApp Business, email, website, social media) within 15 minutes
  • Understand client needs — product type, quantity, design specs, timeline, budget
  • Provide accurate quotations and recommend the right products for their needs
  • Follow up with leads proactively — you close deals, not just answer questions
  • Manage client accounts from quote to delivery — you're their main point of contact
  • Create and manage invoices using Bukku (our accounting software)
  • Track all leads in a spreadsheet with source attribution, status, and follow-up dates

Project & Order Management (30% of your time)

  • Coordinate with our creative team on client design requirements and briefs
  • Manage client approval process — present mockups, handle feedback, get sign-off
  • Oversee order fulfilment — ensure correct files go to the right production facility (heat press, embroidery, digital/offset press)
  • Manage client project timelines and flag delays before they become problems
  • Quality check completed orders — verify quantity, print quality, packaging
  • Arrange delivery to clients (local and cross-border to Singapore)

Marketing & Admin Support (20% of your time)

  • Publish social media content (created by our designer) across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Monitor ad campaign performance and flag anything unusual
  • Support business administration — vendor bill entry, payment tracking in Bukku
  • Help identify new marketing opportunities and client acquisition channels

Must-Have Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Strong English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable with WhatsApp, Google Workspace, and learning new tools
  • Customer-focused — you naturally build rapport with people
  • Self-motivated — you don't wait to be told what to do
  • Malaysian citizen

Good-to-Have

  • Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience (even part-time counts)
  • Own transport (car/motorcycle) — Not a dealbreaker
  • Interest in printing, apparel, or creative industries
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop) — we plan to expand into e-commerce and you could lead that initiative
