We’re hiring a Senior Robotics Engineer at Wirabot.

Wirabot is a Kuala Lumpur-based robotics company building real-world robotics solutions for businesses. We started by creating high-impact humanoid robot experiences for events, trade shows, weddings, and product launches — and we are expanding into broader robotics solutions, including AMR, security robotics, and automation use cases for commercial and industrial environments.

We’re looking for a senior, hands-on engineer who can help us build, deploy, troubleshoot, and improve robots that must perform reliably in the real world.

This is not a corporate desk job.

We want someone who can move between hardware, software, testing, and deployment — someone who understands that robotics is not just about building cool machines, but delivering solutions that work when it matters.

What you’ll do

• Lead development, testing, and improvement of our robotics systems
• Work across humanoid robots, AMR-related projects, and security robotics applications
• Troubleshoot hardware, embedded systems, sensors, actuators, power systems, and software issues
• Support field deployment, integration, calibration, and maintenance
• Improve robot reliability, performance, and operational readiness
• Work on AI, autonomy, perception, and control-related functions where relevant
• Collaborate with management, operations, and junior technical team members
• Help shape technical direction as the company expands into wider robotics solutions

What we’re looking for

• 4+ years of experience in robotics, mechatronics, embedded systems, automation, or related fields
• Strong hands-on experience with robotics hardware and software
• Good working knowledge of Python, C++, and robotics/embedded development workflows
• Familiarity with sensors, actuators, controllers, battery systems, and system integration
• Experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS is a strong advantage
• Able to debug under pressure and solve practical engineering problems fast
• Comfortable working both in the lab and on-site with clients when needed
• Strong ownership mindset and startup attitude

Big plus if you have experience in

• AMR / AGV systems
• Security robotics
• Navigation, SLAM, LiDAR, obstacle avoidance
• Logistics automation
• Warehouse automation, fulfillment systems, conveyor/sorting environments, WMS integration, or industrial deployment
• Field deployment and maintenance of automation systems
• Malaysian compliance or technical documentation exposure
