Job Responsibilities
- Assist in daily building maintenance, general repair works and site support at the assigned property.
- Carry out minor repair works including door locks, hinges, taps, fittings, toilet accessories, signage, minor plumbing works and other general maintenance items.
- Assist the Facility Manager, Chargeman and Technician in maintenance works, inspections and site operations.
- Attend to basic maintenance complaints from residents, tenants and occupants in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist in checking common areas, corridors, toilets, drains, refuse areas, store rooms, pump rooms and other building facilities.
- Assist in replacing lights, fittings and minor parts under the supervision of the Technician or Chargeman where required.
- Assist with painting touch-up, minor patching, simple carpentry, moving items, setting up tables/chairs and supporting site activities when required.
- Report any defects, damages, leaks, broken fittings, safety hazards or abnormal conditions to the Facility Manager or Technician.
- Assist in monitoring contractors and service providers during maintenance or repair works at site.
- Keep store rooms, tools, equipment and maintenance areas clean, safe and organized.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, spare parts and materials are properly used, stored and maintained.
- Assist during emergency situations such as water disruption, flooding, fire alarm activation, equipment breakdown or other urgent site matters.
- Perform any other duties related to general maintenance, building operations and site support as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least SPM or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in general maintenance, handyman work, building maintenance, property management or related field will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge in plumbing, minor repair works, painting, fittings replacement or general building maintenance.
- Hands-on, responsible, hardworking and willing to learn.
- Able to follow instructions and work together with the site management team.
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia.
- Willing to work on-site and assist with urgent maintenance matters when required.
- Candidate must possess own transport and be able to travel for site-related matters when required.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m.
Saturday: 8.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.
May be required to assist during urgent breakdowns, emergencies or scheduled maintenance works outside normal working hours when necessary.
