Successful candidates are expected to deliver courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels while carrying out impactful disciplinary research. In addition, the candidates are expected to lead ad hoc projects at the School or Faculty level, securing external research grants and supervising master’s and PhD by research students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching across diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs
- Supervise research projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Actively contribute to scholarly research in alignment with the university’s research agenda.
- Develop, review, and enhance course materials to reflect current industry trends and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
- Contribute to curriculum development, academic governance, and administrative responsibilities.
- Establish and strengthen partnerships with industry stakeholders to foster research collaborations and student internship opportunities.
Requirements:
- PhD in Accounting (topics may include sustainability reporting/disclosure, ESG, corporate governance, AI or related contemporary topics).
- Candidates should possess a strong commitment to research and advancing their field of expertise, including supervising postgraduate students and securing external research grants.
- Demonstrated good research track record with publications in high-ranked journals, such as Scopus Q1/Q2 or ABDC A or A* ranked journals.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Prior teaching experience in higher education settings with excellent teaching quality/feedback.
- Those who hold an academic leadership role would be an advantage.
- A member of a recognised professional accounting body would be an advantage.
