We are looking for a mid-weight, studio-experienced designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver high-quality creative work quickly and at scale. The ideal candidate combines strong executional craft with collaborative working skills and brings an added layer of conceptual thinking. They will be comfortable working across multiple markets, adapting assets rapidly, managing competing priorities and contributing to a nimble studio model.

Our Designer will render creative depictions of programming ideas, produce stand-out images to tell stories, and transform sometimes text-heavy slides into graphic representations of all that we can do as a firm. They’ll not only be able to imagine creative solutions, but describe their intent. They’ll also counsel teams on what can and can’t be done in a given time period, collaborate with other designers and art directors, and command a toolbox of skills to quickly and efficiently transform undesigned content into beautiful documents.

It will be important to stay current on design trends, identify and implement the coolest, newest creative ideas. It is also important that this designer is inclusive in the creative, allowing collaboration and meaningful exchange between design and account teams—all the while helping to execute a shared vision that is top-notch.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with creative leadership to concept and plan execution across a wide variety of communications projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Develop conceptual and stylistic direction and execute same for campaigns, presentations, case studies, pitches, social, digital and print assets, while ensuring speed, quality and value delivery.
  • Create campaign ideas and highly conceptual pieces of work that achieve client and business goals, while also supporting fast-turnaround adaptation and production work across multiple markets.
  • Lead and participate in creative brainstorms, contributing both conceptual thinking and strong executional craft to bring ideas to life.
  • Interpret briefs independently, generate multiple design options, and work comfortably within structured workflows, briefs, systems and QA processes.
  • Review, edit and prepare files for production, maintaining exceptional attention to detail, layout consistency and formatting accuracy across all outputs.
  • Manage time effectively, establish priorities, and maintain flexibility to respond to changing demands, tight deadlines and short-turnaround requests.
  • Manage multiple jobs and projects simultaneously while maintaining responsiveness, confidentiality and consistently high-quality standards.
  • Work closely with producers to schedule projects, coordinate production and ensure smooth delivery across teams and markets.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, creative leadership, external vendors and Edelman’s global design network to deliver integrated creative solutions.
  • Remain open to iteration, feedback and refinement throughout the creative process, with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and can-do attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3-4 years of relevant experience, preferably within an agency or studio environment supporting fast-paced, high-volume creative production.
  • A degree in Fine Arts, Advertising or Graphic Design, with a strong understanding of graphic design principles, layout, composition and typography.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience with PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Skills and familiarity with GenAI tools and workflows are expected.
  • Experience in Premiere Pro and After Effects is a strong advantage.
  • A diverse portfolio demonstrating branding, presentations, infographics, digital/interactive, advertising, social and print design work, with evidence of both strong execution and conceptual thinking.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute quickly at scale while maintaining high creative standards and close attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, shifting priorities and day-to-day changes across every level of detail.
  • Strong conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to independently interpret briefs and generate creative solutions and options.
  • Excellent verbal communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally within fast-paced teams.
