The Accountant duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Responsible for monthly closing activities for accounts including preparing, reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of journal entries and timely preparation of the financial reports;

• Review of accounts prepared by overseas appointed agency if any;

• Review and handle GST submission;

• Liaise with external auditor for statutory audit;

• Prepare audit schedules and handling audit issues (if any);

• Provide information to tax agent for tax filling of annual returns and tax enquiries;

• Liaise with corporate secretary for preparing annual returns, resolutions and other corporate secretarial matters;

• Liaise with bank on operational issues and lawyer on legal matters;

• Reviewing legal documents and agreements in aspect of finance;

• Insertion of financial numbers onto format audited financial statements given by auditors;

• Daily operational accounting and finance activities;

• Ensure intercompany balances are agreed with the relevant entity;

• Mentoring, and supervising subordinates (if any);

• Ensure processes/controls in place for internal audit;

• Other duties as assigned by Departmental Manager.
