This is a Storage Technical Support Engineer role, specializing in the management, optimization, and maintenance of company storage infrastructure. Key responsibilities include log analysis, configuration optimization, patch management, capacity planning, vulnerability remediation, and customer training, often requiring shift work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively reviewing configurations, generating reports, managing capacity, and identifying improvements based on best practices.
- Maintain & support testing patches, implementing changes, and fixing vulnerabilities on company's storage hardware/software.
- Training customer staff and increasing their understanding of company's solutions.
- Conducting monthly reviews, managing the Statement of Work (SOW) changes, and performing Root Cause Analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in migrating data to Cloud using Object Storage Migration Service (OMS) and block storage migration using SmartMigration.
- Proficient in using Data Management Engine (DME) for monitoring storage performance, capacity management, and generating alarms. Skilled in proactive incident response and troubleshooting for Object/Block storage.
- Strong fundamental knowledge in Linux/Unix Systems administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, Solaris, AIX) and basic Windows networking, essential for storage mounting and agent installation (e.g., S3fs, backup agents).
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, focusing on customer requirements and service-level continuity.
- Must be able to perform shift work and commit 1-year contract.
