The Role
Our client is a well-known food manufacturer in Singapore which provides career development and good benefits for its staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualise and develop innovative products, from ingredient sourcing through laboratory trials to full commercialisation.
- Continuously improve existing product formulations to enhance quality, taste, cost efficiency, and performance.
- Ensure all product creation complies with customer specifications and local food regulatory requirements.
- Conduct sensory evaluation and microbiological testing to assess product quality and safety.
- Perform product shelf-life studies to determine durability, stability, and expiry parameters.
- Prepare accurate product costings based on raw materials, processing methods, and packaging.
- Collaborate with the Marketing department to understand customer needs and translate market requirements into technical specifications, while also liaising with overseas customers and distributors to support international business.
- Provide technical support services, participate in feasibility studies for overseas factory setup, and carry out other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
- 2 years of relevant R&D experience in food manufacturing (preferred).
- Knowledge of sensory evaluation and basic microbiological testing methods.
- Familiarity with product shelf-life study protocols.
- Understanding of food safety regulations (SFA, HACCP, GMP).
