What this job involves:
As a Building Services Engineer at JLL, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of critical MEP systems across our managed properties. You'll be at the forefront of daily engineering operations, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities while managing vendor relationships and compliance requirements. This position requires you to balance technical expertise with strong organizational skills as you oversee maintenance schedules, manage work order systems, and coordinate major annual activities including Integrated System Testing and power shutdowns. What your day-to-day will look like:
Handle daily preventive and corrective engineering tasks to maintain optimal building performance and minimize downtime
Manage and coordinate vendor maintenance schedules, ensuring all contracted services are delivered on time and to specification
Oversee major annual activities including Integrated System Testing and annual power shutdowns, ensuring thorough planning and execution
Administer the engineering Corrigo Work Order system, tracking all maintenance requests and ensuring timely resolution
Assign tasks to technicians and provide technical support and guidance on escalated issues requiring senior intervention
Review Operation & Maintenance Manuals and manage seamless site handovers from project teams to operational teams
Manage MEP equipment asset registers, maintaining accurate records of all building systems and their maintenance history
Participate in meetings with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to discuss engineering matters and resolve technical challenges
Monitor, compile, and analyze energy consumption data across all sites, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
Required qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in building services maintenance or facilities engineering
Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Proven experience managing maintenance work order systems and coordinating vendor activities
Solid understanding of Risk Assessment and Method Statement procedures, including permit-to-work systems
Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines
Strong communication skills with ability to engage effectively with technicians, vendors, and senior stakeholders
Preferred qualifications:
Professional certification or license in relevant engineering discipline
Experience with Corrigo or similar computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Knowledge of energy management principles and experience implementing energy-saving initiatives
Familiarity with building automation systems (BMS) and integrated facility management technologies
Experience managing annual compliance activities such as Integrated System Testing in commercial properties
Track record of successfully coordinating site handovers from construction to operations teams
