Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Billing Specialist role based in Selangor, Malaysia. The Billing Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end billing processes, including generating and reviewing invoices, verifying patient and payer information, and ensuring timely and accurate submission of claims. The role involves coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies, following up on outstanding payments, and maintaining up-to-date billing records in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations. The Billing Specialist will also support month-end closing activities, assist in preparing billing reports, and contribute to continuous process improvement to enhance billing accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of billing processes and client billing, with experience handling high volumes of patient or client accounts.
• Proficiency in invoicing and basic accounting principles, including reconciliation and documentation of financial transactions.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, clients, insurers, and internal teams to clarify charges and resolve issues.
• High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work with billing software or hospital information systems.
• Previous experience in healthcare billing, medical claims, or related finance roles is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Selangor, manage priorities under deadlines, and handle confidential information responsibly.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Malaysian healthcare billing practices, insurance procedures, and regulatory requirements is beneficial.
