Project Coordinator (Executive Level) – Penang (Site-Based)

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Project Coordinator to oversee coordination between the Client, Project Management Consultant (PMC) internal teams for an ongoing project based in Penang.

This role will primarily be site-based and involves monitoring project progress, stakeholder coordination, reporting to management and ensuring smooth communication across all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate closely with the PMC, Client and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution

Monitor project timelines, budget progress, key deliverables and potential risks

Serve as the main liaison between the company and Client representatives

Prepare weekly management updates covering progress, risks, budget status and action items

Attend project meetings and ensure proper follow up on decisions and deliverables

Support communication flow between site operations and Head Office

Escalate critical issues and assist in coordinating mitigation actions where necessary

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Project Management, Business or related disciplines

Candidates with an Engineering or Finance background are preferred

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Organised, proactive, and solution oriented mindset

Ability to coordinate multiple parties effectively

Basic understanding of project management principles (timeline, cost, risk)

Willingness to be based primarily on site in Penang

Working Arrangement

Primarily site based in Penang

Required to attend Head Office meetings in Kuala Lumpur, if needed

Salary Range

RM8,000 - RM10,000 per month (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
