Role Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Clinic Assistant to support daily clinical operations. You will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth workflow from registration to discharge. The ideal candidate has a strong command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, familiarity with Malaysian clinic software (e.g., Avixo, eClinic), and a team-player attitude.

Key Responsibilities1. Front Desk & Patient Management (Registration & Billing)

• Greet and register patients accurately using clinic management software.
• Schedule appointments and manage walk-in traffic.
• Collect patient payments (cash, card, e-wallets like Touch 'n Go, Boost).
• Issue government receipts and manage daily cash/credit card closing.
• Handle insurance claims (panel clinics – e.g., Aetna, Prudential, AIA, Great Eastern) and SOCSO claims.

2. Clinical & Nursing Support (Under Doctor’s Supervision)

• Prepare consultation rooms, instruments, and treatment trays.
• Assist doctors during minor surgeries, wound dressing, or Pap smear procedures.
• Perform basic nursing procedures:
• Vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, respiration).
• Point of Care Testing: Blood taking (venepuncture), glucose testing, urine dipstick.
• Medication administration (IM/IV/SC injections – must have relevant certification if required).
• Nebulizer treatments and ECG setup.
• Sterilize instruments using autoclave (pouching & spore testing).
• Manage cold chain for vaccines (e.g., HPV, flu, Pneumococcal).

3. Pharmacy & Dispensing

• Dispense medications as per doctor’s prescription.
• Label bottles and pack pills accurately.
• Monitor drug expiry dates and stock levels (medicines, vaccines, consumables).

4. Clinic Maintenance & Safety

• Ensure clinic cleanliness (including toilets and waiting area) – in line with MOH Malaysia guidelines.
• Segregate clinical waste correctly (scheduled waste disposal).
• Monitor PPE stock (masks, gloves, face shields) and linen.
• Check emergency trolley/kit (oxygen tank, AED, adrenaline).

Requirements (Essential)Education & Experience

• Education: SPM / Certificate in Medical Assistant (MA) / Diploma in Nursing / Diploma in Pharmacy.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in a GP or specialist clinic (fresh graduates with good internship experience may apply).
• License: Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) for nurses (if applicable).

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
