About the role

Lypometal Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated and experienced Purchasing Executive to join our dynamic team in Sungai Petani, Kedah. As a Purchasing Executive, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and components to support the company's production activities. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery and service.

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and contracts with vendors.

• Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and timely.

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse or production teams.

• Track deliveries and resolve supply or shipment issues.

• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.

• Coordinate closely with internal departments such as Production, Shipping, Finance, QC, Sales and Engineering to ensure smooth procurement operations and timely material availability.

• Liaise with requesting departments to understand purchasing requirements and specifications.

• Compare quotations and prepare cost analysis reports.

• Ensure purchased items meet specifications and quality requirements.

• Maintain procurement records, contracts and supplier databases.

• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the Manufacturing industry.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers

• Proficient in using procurement software and DBS systems

• Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations and practices.
