About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Intern for Accounting & Finance to join our dynamic team at Cheng Hoon Air Cond Engineering Sdn Bhd in Butterworth, Penang. This is a full-time role, offering valuable hands-on experience in a key function of our growing company.

What you'll be doing

• Assist in daily accounting operations and data entry into accounting systems

• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice preparation and verification

• Help maintain accurate financial records and filing systems (physical and digital)

• Assist in bank reconciliation and checking financial discrepancies

• Prepare basic financial reports, spreadsheets, and summaries

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities

• Assist in processing staff claims and expense reports

• Liaise with internal departments for document collection and verification

• Assist in audit preparation by compiling required documents and schedules

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

• Perform administrative tasks related to finance and accounting as assigned

• Currently enrolled in an accounting or finance-related degree program

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy
