Position: Project Engineer (Civil Engineering)
Division: Construction Division
Work Location: Taman Tasik Utama
Employment Status: Contract
Working Days: 6 days a week
Objective
To oversee and coordinate site activities for the Taman Tasik Utama Packages 24 and 28. This role ensures compliance with technical specifications, manages field operations, and serves as the key liaison between engineering teams, contractors and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, supervise and coordinate the implementation and completion of the project including control and monitor the subcontractor’s planning and physical progress to ensure smooth progress of work.
Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance to the drawings and specifications under quality control plan and under safety and environmental regulations in accordance to the Safety and Environmental Policy
Resolve technical, problems at site or address to higher level to get direction from Project Manager on technical matters
Attend meetings with subcontractors and Client as instructed
Review and enforce technical specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
Interface with contractors and construction teams to ensure quality and compliance.
Monitor progress and provide updates to project manager.
Conduct field inspections and oversee geotechnical testing (e.g., SPT, Atterberg limits, Proctor tests).
Analyze soil and rock properties to assess bearing capacity, settlement, and slope stability.
Support subsurface investigations and laboratory testing programs.
Prepare and maintain detailed records of field activities, test results, and compliance reports.
Assist in reports and recommendations.
Ensure proper documentation of earthwork quantities and survey data.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, and environmental engineers.
Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
Comply with Site Safety requirement and uphold Company’s Safety Policy
Comply with Environmental requirement
Comply and implement Company’s QMS Policy and Objectives
Comply and adhere to Company’s Administrative Policy, Guideline and Site Regulation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum two (2) years of relevant working experience in the construction industry.
Basic knowledge in infrastructure and/or building construction projects.
Familiar with project planning, scheduling, and technical documentation.
Understanding of construction methodologies, contract requirements, and statutory regulations.
Good communication, teamwork, and able to deliver tasks within committed deadlines.
Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
