Education & Experience

• Academic Background: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Port Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in port, jetty, or marine terminal operations, with a proven track record in a supervisory or coordinating role.

Technical Skills & Operational Knowledge

• Marine & Cargo Operations: Strong expertise in supervising loading and unloading operations for vessels, barges, trucks, and pipeline transfers.

• Port Liaison & Vessel Scheduling:Experience coordinating directly withJohor Port personnel, shipping agents, and marine surveyors to manage berthing windows and operational schedules.

• Product Handling & Integrity: Solid understanding of bulk liquid/cargo storage, tank farm operations, inventory stock control, and strict protocols to prevent contamination, spills, and product loss.

• Standards & Compliance:Familiarity withISO quality management systems, port safety regulations, and international maritime safety standards (e.g., ISGOTT, MARPOL, or DOSH guidelines where applicable).

Soft Skills & Core Competencies

• Safety & Compliance Leadership: A strong safety-first mindset with the ability to strictly enforce safety regulations and company policies on-site.

• Communication & Coordination: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to bridge communication between port authorities, external agents, and internal shift teams.

• Analytical Reporting: High attention to detail for managing operational documentation and preparing precise pre- and post-activity reports.

• Problem-Solving under Pressure: Ability to manage shift operations dynamically, resolve scheduling conflicts, and handle equipment maintenance issues efficiently to prevent vessel delays.

Job Description

• Coordinate jetty operational activities in accordance with established policies and procedures to support the achievement of company targets and objectives.

• Support the supervision and coordination of operational activities to ensure tasks are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with safety requirements.

• Coordinate with Johor Port personnel and shipping agents to support vessel scheduling and operational requirements.

• Ensure all shipment and jetty activities comply with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.

• Supervise and coordinate loading and unloading activities for vessels, barges, trucks, and pipelines to ensure smooth operations.

• Assist Supervisors and Managers in overseeing daily stock control and operational activities within the assigned shift to meet safety and performance targets.

• Ensure products received, handled, and stored in tanks are protected from contamination, spills, loss, or damage.

• Comply with ISO procedures and company standards in all operational activities. Prepare and maintain accurate operational reports before and after activities.

• Ensure operational equipment is properly maintained and all required documentation is managed accordingly.

• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.
