Mechanical Drafter Location: Bayan Lepas Industry: Automation / Instrumentation / Semiconductor Equipment Job Responsibilities Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings for automation machines and instrumentation systems. Produce assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and exploded views. Assist mechanical engineers in machine design and development. Modify and update engineering drawings according to project requirements and ECN changes. Ensure drafting complies with engineering standards, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements. Coordinate with production, machining, and assembly teams during machine build activities. Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting activities. Maintain proper documentation and revision control. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics / Drafting or equivalent. Experience with CAD software such as: Autodesk Inventor AutoCAD SolidWorks Understanding of: Precision mechanical parts Tolerance & GD&T Pneumatic components Machine structure & sheet metal design Knowledge in automation equipment or semiconductor industry is an advantage. Able to read and interpret technical drawings. Fresh graduates may apply for junior roles. Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang. Preferred Skills Strong attention to detail. Problem-solving and teamwork skills. Familiarity with machine assembly processes. Knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes.
