Support to develop and administer plans and processes as part of the AFR pricing & RFQ/tender management strategy to support the commercial strategy in line with business objectives, corporate guidelines and policies


Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of plans and processes to implement the AFR pricing strategy
  • Assist in responding to pricing enquiries in an efficient and competitive manner
  • Execute tasks and activities while ensuring effective resource management and optimizing productivity for the day-to-day operations
  • Support the timely monitoring and accurate updating of local tariffs
  • Prepare and submit relevant documents for tenders
  • Develop and maintain databases with specific information to enable quick responses to specific network queries
  • Build and secure business relationships with customers and airlines
  • Prepare carrier performance reports and reviews
  • Identify opportunities to enhance services and processes to secure cost-effective and competitive prices and negotiate competitive rates with airline suppliers while meeting desired service specifications and transit time targets
  • Understand recent developments of new solutions, services, lane and traffic development
  • May provide functional guidance, advice or training to less experienced positions
  • Identify and resolve recurring issues, and suggest modifications to AFR pricing methods focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency

We are expecting the incumbent to meet these requirements:

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
  • With minimum 2 years’ experience in freight forwarding industry especially in Air Freight.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Additional skillsets required: negotiation skills, detailed oriented, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Able to work in a fast pace and challenging environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • This position is located in USJ, Selangor
