About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of a public-sector technology organisation driving large-scale digital transformation in Singapore. This is a senior, high-autonomy role where you will own the engineering platforms and cloud infrastructure underpinning citizen-facing digital products.

You will lead without close direction, shape technical strategy, mentor engineers, and partner across product, engineering, and security teams to keep systems reliable, scalable, and secure.


What You'll Do

  • Own the design, build, and evolution of cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines for web and mobile products
  • Drive infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code and scripting (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Lead CI/CD pipeline design and continuous improvement on GitLab
  • Set up and operate observability, monitoring, and alerting; proactively resolve incidents before user impact
  • Champion platform security — access control, secrets management, vulnerability management
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements
  • Partner with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to remove delivery friction
  • Establish operational documentation, runbooks, and technical standards
  • Mentor junior DevOps/SRE engineers and drive adoption of best practices


What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering
  • 3+ years leading engineering teams or technical initiatives
  • Deep hands-on AWS experience: ECS Fargate, Lambda, S3, Aurora, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch
  • Strong Docker and container-based deployment experience at production scale
  • Proven CI/CD pipeline experience on GitLab and Jira
  • Strong IaC skills — Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Working knowledge of React, Node.js, React Native sufficient to collaborate with dev teams
  • Familiarity with MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Strong grasp of authentication, API integrations, and application security

  • Experience in regulated or government environments
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity planning experience
  • Stakeholder management across senior stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring junior DevOps/SRE engineers
