Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and purchase steel materials and related products according to company requirements.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and production departments to ensure sufficient stock availability.

• Plan and manage material replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock situations.

• Prepare purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation of procurement activities.

• Track deliveries and follow up with suppliers on order status and shipment schedules.

• Conduct price comparisons and market analysis to achieve cost savings and procurement efficiency.

• Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards and specifications.

• Maintain proper inventory records and assist in periodic stock counts and inventory audits.

• Coordinate with internal departments regarding material requirements and purchasing plans.

• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.

Requirements

• SPM or Diploma

• Minimum 2–3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in steel materials or metal-related industries.

• Knowledge of steel products, material grades, specifications, and market pricing.

• Experience in inventory management and stock control processes.

• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Words)

• Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
