Embraer Asia Pacific is seeking to recruit a Senior Flight Operations Manager for the Asia Pacific region.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Services and Support for APAC, you are responsible for supporting all activities related to flight operation services & support as well as to improve customers’ flight expertise, operation safety standard in accordance with regulatory standards and achieve high customer satisfaction for the Asia (China and Asia Pacific) region. You will maximize opportunities for flight operation services to contribute to the company’s overall services and support revenue.

You will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

• Develop and implement processes for flight operation and training activities for Commercial, Executive and Defense business units, following the lean philosophy and Embraer Excellence in Customer Experience.
• Provide fleet and flight operation support by working closely with CAMs, FSRs and liaisons (Opereng) to assist Asia operators.
• Collaborate with VSS team to deliver successful new aircraft flight operation EIS (Entry-Into-Services) for the Asia region, assuring the accomplishment of contractual obligations related to flight operation support and services.
• Support Sales Campaigns for all business units.
• Provide pilot services for Commercial and Executive customers/ operators (eg: check rides, pilot monitoring, etc).
• Support pilot activities such as ferry flights, airshows and demo flights.
• Develop a high-level flight operation standard for operation and training of Embraer products and services. This includes: i) conducting flight simulator, aircraft and classroom instructions and ensure training delivery meets organizational and regulatory safety, quality and compliance standards. ii) evaluating pilot technical proficiency, procedural compliance and on-technical skills. iii) conducting formal assessments, checks and debriefs to provide clear, constructive and documented feedback.
• Provide flight operations and training relating to ECTS. This includes: i) Flight Simulator and Ground Instructor for ANAC Part 142. ii) Act as designated Flight Examiner for ANAC and/or Local NAA designation. iii) Embraer representative for ECTS working together with SCFT team. iv) “Flight demonstrations” on E2 Full Flight Simulator to support Sales Campaign. v) Provide quality management for the training services provided in Asia.
• Ensure all the flight licenses and medical certificates are updated (applicable for different authorities and whenever necessary (Eg: ANAC, FAA and CAAC).
• Establish and develop good relationships with the various Civil Aviation Authorities to guarantee a healthy and safe operation environment.
• Promote and stimulate operators to participate in the annual EOC, EEOC and F2F meetings to streamline communication, and improve operators’ knowledge and flight safety conditions.
• Support Embraer Air Safety Representative in issues related to Air Safety and Embraer produced aircrafts (ESOM Meetings and incident / accident investigation).

Desired Skills and Experience:

We are seeking to hire a professional with a Bachelor in Aviation, Engineering or related fields, has a valid Pilot License with Type Rating and prior Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience for Embraer Products.

Requirements:

• Has at least 10 years of experience in flight operations, airlines, OEM pilot instructor or OEM flight operations engineer.
• Deep operational knowledge of aircraft systems, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced instructional delivery and facilitation skills.
• Results and customer oriented.
• High-impact communication and debriefing skills.
• Able to challenge performance constructively while maintaining trust and authority.
• Able to build and maintain interpersonal relationships.
• Availability for international travels (50%).
• Fluent in English.
• Proficient in Portuguese (for communication with Headquarters office in Brazil).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
