What you'll do:

As Java Technical Lead, you will be entrusted with full responsibility for evaluating current systems, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving architectural transformation across critical financial platforms. Your daily activities will involve deep dives into complex codebases using Java and Python, mapping out dependencies and technical debt while collaborating closely with global colleagues to co-design next-generation solutions. • Co-author architectural recommendations for platform rebuilds based on thorough reviews and requirements gathered from subject matter experts in wealth management.
• Initiate and lead the hiring process for additional engineering team members as the centre grows.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Kuala Lumpur engineering team including sprint planning, code reviews, technical guidance, and delivery cadence management.
• Take ownership of technical architecture decisions to ensure platforms meet production standards required by regulated financial systems.
• Act as the primary technical liaison between the Kuala Lumpur team and global technology leadership.
