About the role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Test Development Engineer to join our engineering team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, production-ready test solutions. This role requires working closely with customers at their site, offering a unique opportunity to directly impact product quality and manufacturing excellence. You will be responsible for end-to-end test system development — from concept design to production deployment

Key responsibilities:

• Define and establish test requirements and specifications based on product (DUT) design.
• Design and develop test system architecture (schematics) and software using appropriate engineering tools.
• Perform integration, debugging, verification, and validation of test systems to ensure performance and reliability.
• Execute buy-off inspections with stakeholders and deploy validated test solutions into production.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including operating manuals, in compliance with quality and change management processes.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure design, quality, and delivery requirements are met.
• Drive defect investigation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting on-site customer operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience in test development, automation, or manufacturing test systems
• Strong knowledge of hardware design, schematics, and software programming
• Experience in debugging, validation, and production deployment
• Familiar with quality systems, documentation control, and change management processes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work on-site at customer locations
• Applicants must be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status
