The Role

Our client is looking for an Accountant who will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting-related functions for the client, such as processing tax returns, coordinating the collection of required documents and information, bookkeeping, research, reconciliation, and budgeting.


Location: Must be residing in the Philippines – Remote

Environment: Philippines and International Teams

Language: Advanced English (B2+ - C1)

Time zone: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST (9:00 pm to 6:00 am Philippine Time

Employment Type: Full-time


Requirement

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a finance-related field

Certification: Being licensed as a certified public accountant is a plus

Skill

  • 5 years of US tax experience, both in US Individual and Business Tax
  • Proficient in tax and accounting software/tools such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, CCH Access/ProFX Tax, Intelliconnect Tax Research, Intelliforms, Tax Tools, CFS Payroll, Practice Management Time Entry, Accounting Research, PFX Tax Planning, Proseries Tax Planner, CCH Engagement External Bookkeeping
  • Excellent grasp of all Microsoft 365 applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Aptitude in data management, analytics, and reporting preparation
  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed


Essential Functions

Prepare the following tax return

  • Personal Tax Return
  • Business Tax Return
  • Review client books and make adjustments for year-end
  • Recognize and make journal entries for M-1 Adjustments
  • Prepare depreciation schedule
  • Prepare a uniform capitalization work paper
  • Prepare construction client work papers, like completed contract/percentage of completion
  • Use engagement for the tax trial balance
  • Handle correspondences with IRS and state agencies and teleconferences, and perform the following tasks:
  • Perform external bookkeeping and perform the following relevant tasks
  • Adjust the balance sheet after the tax returns are completed
  • Handle year-end adjustment
  • Provide internal and external QuickBooks support for our clients
  • Collect tax return information for the tax preparer
