Tasks & responsibilities
Lead and manage CNC machining operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and precision.
Program, set up, and operate CNC turning and milling machines.
Integrate and oversee robotic automation and cobot systems in production.
Develop and optimize machining processes to improve quality and reduce cycle times.
Troubleshoot machine and automation issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams for process improvements.
Train and mentor CNC machinists and operators.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control regulations.
To provide support in production activities ensuring that all manufacturing orders job are meeting to CNC machining process WI.
To provide guidance and training to junior or new machinist.
To involve and support in CNC continuous programming improvement and reduction of machining cycle time.
Lays out work, sets up, and operates computer numeric control (CNC) lathes to perform machining operations according to manufacturing orders and drawing required tolerances and specifications.
Qualifications & experience
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Proven experience in CNC turning, milling, and robotic/cobot automation.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming
Experience in integrating cobots and robotic automation in manufacturing.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience with Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing technologies.
Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, or SolidWorks).
Previous experience working with automated production lines.
