About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Automotive Engineering Technician to take charge of our workshop’s technical operations. This is a lead role where you will be the main person responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure safety, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all technical work in the workshop, including diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Supervise and guide junior technicians to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate service records and provide technical reports to management.
• Liaise with customers to explain technical issues and solutions clearly.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in vehicle diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
• Strong track record and proven ability to maintain a high repair rate, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose all types of vehicle issues, including high-end vehicles. Capable of identifying root causes quickly and implementing effective solutions to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Physically fit and mentally prepared to work long hours, and willing to work on an ad hoc basis during holidays when circumstances require.

• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for workshop performance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Diploma, WSQ Higher Certificate, or technical certification in Automotive Engineering or related field will be an added advantage, but not mandatory
• Ability to train and develop junior technicians, ensuring knowledge transfer and team growth.
• Attention to detail and quality assurance mindset — ensuring all work meets safety and performance standards.
