Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a commercially minded Accountant to join our Finance team. This role goes beyond traditional accounting responsibilities, with a strong focus on business partnering, financial analysis, and operational support across e-commerce and distribution channels.

  • You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to provide financial insights, strengthen controls, and support data-driven decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering & Financial Analysis

  • Partner with commercial teams (Sales, Marketing, E-commerce) to provide financial insights and support business decisions
  • Analyse sales performance, discount structures, and profitability drivers across channels
  • Support development and tracking of KPIs, including margins, promotional spend, and rebate programmes
  • Provide analysis on variances, trends, and key business drivers on a monthly and ad hoc basis

Revenue, Pricing & Commercial Support

  • Support accurate revenue recognition, including consignment and distributor arrangements
  • Review pricing, discounts, and promotional activities to ensure alignment with financial targets
  • Work with business teams to validate sales campaigns and assess financial impact
  • Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for revenue and audit requirements

E-commerce & Data Reconciliation

  • Oversee reconciliation of online sales across marketplaces and platforms to ensure data integrity
  • Investigate discrepancies and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve operational or system issues
  • Improve reporting accuracy and data completeness for business analytics (e.g. Power BI)

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

  • Support month-end closing activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
  • Prepare OPEX, rebates, and discount accruals with appropriate supporting documentation
  • Contribute to timely and accurate financial reporting to management

Process Improvement & Controls

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen internal controls
  • Support implementation of finance systems, automation, and reporting enhancements

Collaborate across functions to improve data quality and financial discipline


Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, or commercial finance
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or distribution business is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems and Power BI is a plus
