Full Time MACHINIST CONVENTIONAL (MILLING TURNING) Jobs, Salary up to MYR 3,500 in SOHO HR SERVICES Johor - Maukerja

We are a multinational precision company seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Conventional Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will set up and operate manual, conventional lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts. You will work from technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to manufacture, repair, or modify components. This role requires deep knowledge of metal properties, manual machine controls, and precise measuring instruments.

LOCATION GELANG PATAH (TAMAN LAMAN SETIA)

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate conventional lathes (turning) and manual milling machines safely and efficiently.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, engineering blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Material Setup: Select raw materials, secure workpieces in chucks or vices, and align them using indicators to ensure accuracy.
• Tooling Selection: Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, speeds, and feeds based on the material being machined (e.g., steel, aluminum, plastics).
• Precision Measurement: Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and height gauges to ensure strict compliance with tolerances (e.g., +/- 0.01mm).
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on manual machines, including lubricating, cleaning, and monitoring fluid/coolant levels.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and dimensional deviations during production runs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience operating conventional/manual turning and milling machines.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manual machining techniques, thread cutting, boring, tapering, and pocket milling.
• Physical Demands: stand for extended periods.
• Attention to Detail: High precision mindset with a track record of minimal material wastage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification, apprenticeship, or vocational diploma in Machining or Mechanical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of conversational CNC programming or CNC operation is a plus.
• Experience with overhead crane operation and rigging.
