APAC Construction & Consumer Industrial Director (Malaysia or Philippines-Based)

We are looking for a seasoned Industrial Operations Leader to take on a regional role as APAC C&C Industrial Director, with the flexibility to be based in Malaysia or the Philippines.

This position will lead manufacturing operations across multiple sites in Asia-Pacific and play a key role in driving operational excellence, transformation, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Operations Leadership

• Lead and govern manufacturing operations across multiple sites in Asia-Pacific, ensuring alignment with regional and global business strategies
• Develop and execute operations plans, including demand-capacity alignment, productivity optimization, and performance improvement
• Oversee core functions including Production, Quality, HSE, Engineering, Logistics, and Project Management

Health, Safety & Sustainability

• Champion a strong safety-first culture across all sites
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and implementation of global HSE standards
• Drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance

Operational Excellence

• Drive cost optimization and efficiency improvements using lean, continuous improvement, and best practice methodologies
• Improve product quality, reduce waste, and enhance overall manufacturing performance
• Standardize and replicate best practices across regional sites

Strategic Projects & Transformation

• Lead high-impact regional transformation initiatives, capital projects, and operational integration programs
• Oversee project planning, execution, and governance to ensure delivery on time and within budget
• Support business growth through capacity expansion, footprint optimization, and process improvements

Strategy & Planning

• Contribute to the development and execution of regional operations strategy
• Translate business plans into actionable operational roadmaps

Leadership & Talent Development

• Lead and develop a diverse, multi-country operations team
• Strengthen organizational capability through effective structure, coaching, and succession planning

Financial & Resource Management

• Manage operational budgets (OPEX and CAPEX) to meet cost, quality, and service targets
• Drive sourcing strategies that ensure supply reliability and cost competitiveness

Governance & Reporting

• Ensure robust systems, procedures, and controls across operations
• Deliver regular performance reporting and insights to senior leadership

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or process industries, preferably in a multi-site or regional role
• Strong background in plant management, industrial operations, and process manufacturing
• Proven track record in leading transformation, operational excellence, and capital projects
• Experience working in Southeast Asia or APAC markets, ideally with exposure to Philippines and/or Malaysia
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills
• Strategic thinker with hands-on operational expertise
• Customer-focused with strong emphasis on quality, service, and delivery
• Fluent in English; ability to thrive in a multicultural, regional environment
