Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Performance Test Engineer to design, execute, and lead end-to-end performance testing activities for enterprise applications. The role ensures applications are scalable, reliable, and meet defined performance requirements through structured testing, monitoring, and analysis. You will work closely with developers, architects, DevOps, and business teams in an Agile environment, driving performance engineering best practices across the SDLC.



Key Responsibilities

• Define performance testing strategy and estimate effort, timelines, and resources
• Gather and validate non-functional requirements (NFRs) with stakeholders
• Analyse application architecture and identify performance risks
• Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using JMeter and LoadRunner
• Conduct load, stress, spike, and endurance testing
• Use monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, BMC TrueSight) to analyse system performance
• Identify bottlenecks and provide tuning recommendations
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for performance issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across SDLC and Agile ceremonies
• Support CI/CD integration and DevOps performance testing practices
• Lead defect triage and provide performance insights to stakeholders
• Create performance metrics and reporting for leadership
• Mentor junior engineers and support governance of best practices
• Manage testing budgets and resource planning
  
  

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in performance testing / performance engineering
• Strong experience with JMeter and LoadRunner
• Good understanding of web applications, APIs, and system architecture
• Experience with performance testing methodologies (load, stress, endurance, spike)
• Scripting experience (Java, JavaScript, Python, or LoadRunner VuGen scripting)
• Experience using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in Agile environments
